2015: a year-long celebration of Caillou’s 25th anniversary

Caillou was born in 1989, through the combined efforts of Christine L’Heureux, initiator of the project and author of the texts, and Hélène Desputeaux, the first illustrator of these books.
A quarter of a century later, Caillou has grown to become a preschool phenomenon, loved by kids the world over. The books are published in more than fifty countries and in twenty languages. The series premiered on in 1997 and airs weekdays in the U.S on PBS KIDS and is also #1 on the 24-hour preschool television channel Sprout. Caillou is broadcast in more than 100 countries: Germany (Super RTL), Turkey (Samanyolu), Spain (RTVE), Israel (HOP), Latin America (Discovery Kids), etc. On September 2014, it has begun airing in Canada in French on ICI Radio-Canada Télé.
